Since ancient times, Buddhists all around the world celebrate the Buddha’s birthday by using fragrant water to bathe the statue of the infant Buddha – Prince Siddhartha.
Breathe in the fresh morning air and deepen your understanding of how to achieve mindfulness in your daily life. This one-off outdoor meditation session is guided by the Venerables of Fo Guang Shan Chung Tian Temple.
Looking for fun activities for the kids or the opportunity to bring out your inner child? The Chung Tian Chinese School will host a variety of cultural activities at the festival.

As 2021 is the year of the ox, this unique display and associated meditation sessions throughout the festival will provide you with an understanding of the ‘Ten Ox Herding Pictures’, a metaphoric depiction of the stages of practice leading to enlightenment.
