More than 2600 years ago in 623BC, the Buddha was born in Lumbini, a beautiful park situated close by to the ancient city of Kapilavastu. It was here that Queen Maya stopped to enjoy the shade of a flowering sal tree. While resting, she gave birth to baby Prince Siddhartha, who would be later in life be known as the Buddha. This colourful and vibrant display will replicate Lumbini Garden on the auspicious full moon day of the Buddha’s birth.

We welcome you to take a journey of discovery through the birthplace of Prince Siddhartha and to follow his path from witnessing old age, sickness, death and finally, enlightenment to become the Buddha.
